Custom software is not an upsell package sold to every company. Ready-made themes and stores work for most SMEs. If order, stock, field, or price-hiding doesn't fit the standard flow, a software line is opened. Webify draws this boundary from the Skyport Residence / Beylikdüzü office with approved scope.
01
Where does off-the-shelf end?
Corporate website, quote form, and standard WooCommerce catalog handle most work. Price is in the 15,000 or 25,000 TL + VAT range. Custom software starts from 50,000 TL + VAT because screen, role, and integration are written for you. Inflating a theme with "let's add this too" is not software; it produces a broken cart and locked panel.
The boundary is: business running on Excel and WhatsApp—is a form on the site enough? Does the warehouse conflict with the storefront? Should B2B pricing be hidden from everyone? If any of these is yes, custom line is discussed. Otherwise, corporate or e-commerce package is enough; unnecessary software eats the budget. Drinking coffee and locking the screen at Skyport is not mandatory; approval email is.
When a software line is opened, who will see which screen, where data will come from, and which step stays manual is written in the first week. Without these three lines, "custom software" is a slide title, not a delivery.
Among 9 custom software jobs scoped at Skyport in 2025 Q4–2026 Q2, projects that wrote role + data source + human approval in week one tied schedule slips to written revisions; jobs that deferred those three lines showed more extra sprints in panel notes (internal delivery log).
Custom software is not piling plugins on a theme. It is an approved screen list.
- Who sees which screen (role)
- Where data comes from (API, Excel, panel)
- Which step stays manual (approval)
- Where it goes live (hosting / VDS)
02
No code without written scope
First meeting produces a need list: screens, users, restrictions. No line is drawn without approval. Staged delivery exists—visible flow first, then reports. This protects both schedule and budget.
Software, site, and hosting are planned at the same table. Heavy queues choke on shared hosting; VDS or sufficient resources are written upfront. Launch-day integration and access don't turn into separate surprises.

03
When do we say no?
We don't sell software where off-the-shelf works. If an appointment calendar finishes with a simple form, a custom panel isn't required. If CRM is "nice to have," the form hitting the phone is enough first.
AI automation is a separate service. Models generate text, rules reduce stock. Mixing the two produces wrong orders. Software line is rule and screen; assistant line is approved text.
04
Time, price, and next step
Narrow scope is 4–8 weeks, integrated work takes longer. Written quote is targeted within 24 hours. Office: Skyport Residence No:151, Beylikdüzü. Visiting is not mandatory.
When comparing, don't look at demo screens, look at this: is scope line-by-line, is there an approval gate, does the code stay with you? Software locked in agency account becomes hostage on exit.
After delivery, small text runs on the same line. New module is a separate quote.
05
Which jobs need a custom line?
B2B price hiding, dealer panel, field team seeing the same stock, accounting or warehouse API, appointment + capacity, document approval: these aren't solved by piling plugins on a theme. Each requires screen, role, and error message. Webify writes these in your words, not mermaid: who sees, who approves, what is forbidden.
The opposite also exists. Catalog, cart, and standard shipping work for most stores. Quote form and reference grid work for most corporate websites. Selling software at this boundary eats budget and delays delivery. At Skyport, the first question is not "what do we write" but "where doesn't off-the-shelf fit."
If access method for systems to integrate (API, Excel, email queue) doesn't clear in the first week, schedule lies. Missing paperwork stops software; we write that upfront. Code line doesn't come before paperwork line.
06
Launch, ownership, and next step
If software stays locked in agency account, it becomes hostage on exit. At delivery, who holds source, environment, and backup is written. Small text runs on the same line; new module is a separate quote. Support is not "call if something breaks," it is who renews and to whom it was written.
When comparing, don't look at demo color, look at this: is scope line-by-line, is there an approval gate, does the code stay with you, on which server is launch? Written quote is targeted within 24 hours. Office Skyport Residence No:151, Beylikdüzü. 0850 885 28 44.
